Meet Our Providers
R. Sonia Batra, MD, MSc, MPH
Dr. Sonia Batra is a board-certified dermatologist and founder of Batra Dermatology. She is also a highly respected media expert and host of CBS’ syndicated daytime talk show, The Doctors. She coordinates her clinical, academic, and media work to provide the most current, evidence-based, and highest quality care for her patients.
Dr. Batra is delighted to be practicing in her hometown and is a former Valedictorian of Palisades High School. She received her A.B., M.P.H, and M.D. degrees from Harvard University, where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. As a Rhodes Scholar, she earned a Master’s degree at the University of Oxford, England. She completed her residency training in Dermatology at Stanford University followed by advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery, laser and cosmetic dermatology. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at USC Keck School of Medicine and an editor and reviewer for three leading dermatology journals.
Dr. Batra is grateful to be selected as a top dermatologist by Castle Connolly, Los Angeles Magazine, and Southern California SuperDoctors. Her husband, Sameer, is a urologist, and they are the proud parents of two children and two Havanese puppies.
Divya Sachdev, MD
Dr. Divya Sachdev is double board-certified in dermatology and internal medicine. She completed a full internal medicine residency at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center followed by dermatology residency at John H. Stroger Cook County Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Sachdev had an emphasis in medical dermatology, and at UCLA, she was part of a primary care track where she took a deep emphasis in the whole person approach and patient-centered care. She has numerous publications in medical journals and has presented at many national medical conferences.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her Shiba Inu puppy, Kobe, as well as traveling with her husband and baby. Dr. Sachdev grew up in Portland prior to moving to Los Angeles. She is an avid tennis player as well as a basketball fan.
Amelia Mittleman, PA-C
Amelia Mittleman is a board certified physician assistant and a native of Santa Monica. After graduating from Crossroads School, she attended Vassar College and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. She then earned a Masters of Medical Science from the Yale University School of Medicine Physician Associate Program. Amelia began her career as a dermatology physician assistant in 2011 in Connecticut and has practiced dermatology in Southern California since 2015.
Amelia has experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of dermatologic conditions. She is skilled in performing biopsies, dermatologic surgery and other surgical and cosmetic procedures. To maintain certification as a physician assistant, she must complete 100 hours of Continuing Medical Education every two years and pass a national recertification examination every 10 years. In her free time, Amelia enjoys cooking, hiking and playing the piano.
Hope Mcfarlin, PA-C
Hope McFarlin is a board certified Physician Assistant from Nashville, Tennessee. Hope graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Biology. Later, she completed her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida. After graduating, Hope moved to Los Angeles to begin her career in Dermatology and has made it her home.
Hope is very passionate about treating skin disorders. Her favorite part of her career is knowing that she makes a positive difference in her patient’s lives. She is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the California Dermatology Physician Assistant Society. Outside of work Hope enjoys spending her time with family and friends, playing tennis, and hiking.
Michelle Lujano, Licensed Esthetician
Michelle Lujano is a Licensed Esthetician and native of Culver City. She trained at the Academy of Beauty of Culver City as well as The International Dermal Institute. Unfortunately, Michelle herself struggled with acne and hyperpigmentation for many years. Her personal passion for the skin stems from learning how to treat her own skin and how to select the best products to promote skin health. She hopes to translate the lessons she learned in her own successful skin transformation to clients who may suffer from similar skin issues. Michelle loves making her clients feel and look their best and is committed to helping them meet their skincare goals. Outside the office, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family, visiting museums, and cheering for the Dodgers.

Appointments & Consultations
To schedule an appointment, please call (310) 829-9099 or book an appointment online.
Cancellations
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice. This courtesy on your part will make it possible to give your appointment time to another patient. If you miss your appointment or cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged a $35 cancellation fee. We appreciate your understanding.
Emergencies
Our office provides on-call service for emergencies, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During after hours, call (310) 829-9099, and follow the prompt to page the on-call provider directly.

Payment / Insurance
Payment
Medical insurance plans usually do not cover cosmetic procedures, and payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, we also accept the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept personal checks.

Insurance
We are an in-network provider for the majority of PPO Insurance Plans in California and Saint John’s Physician Partners. We recommend that you contact your insurance to confirm that we are in-network for your specific plan.
We do not accept Managed Health Care Oversight Plans, Blue Cross Covered CA, HMO, EPO, MediCal, Medicare HMO, Medicare Advantage PPO, or Cigna “Local Plus” insurance plans.
Patients are responsible for deductibles, co-payments, and remaining balances.
